Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Shred Level, LLC ("Shred Level," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use ENDSCREEN, our mobile application for retro-gaming community platforms, telemetry, and bounty-hunting (the "App"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that is necessary to operate the App, authenticate users, maintain leaderboard integrity, and deliver core functionality. The categories of data we collect include:

Account & Authentication Data

• Email addresses — collected and used for account creation, login, and authentication through our database infrastructure provider, Supabase.
• User-generated usernames — displayed publicly within the App's community features.

Hardware & Telemetry Metadata

• Hardware metadata — technical information related to arcade and retro gaming hardware associated with your submissions, scores, and bounty activity (e.g., cabinet identifiers, platform tags, and device-reported configuration data relevant to telemetry verification).
• Gameplay and score data — records generated through your use of leaderboard, bounty, and telemetry features.

Subscription & Transaction Data

• Information related to in-app subscriptions processed through Apple, Google, and RevenueCat, such as subscription status and purchase receipts. We do not store full payment card numbers.

2. Camera & Image Data

ENDSCREEN requires camera access to capture photographs of arcade game screens. This functionality is essential to our core service: verifying competitive scores through optical character recognition (OCR).

• When you capture a score screenshot, the image is transmitted to the Google Cloud Vision API for OCR processing to extract score values and related on-screen text.
• Captured images are stored securely on AWS S3 servers operated by or on behalf of Shred Level, LLC.
• Images are retained to verify leaderboard integrity, investigate disputed submissions, and enforce our Terms of Service against fraudulent or manipulated score reporting.
• We do not use score verification images for advertising purposes, and we do not sell camera-captured images to third parties.

You may deny camera permission; however, certain features of the App — including score submission and bounty verification — will not function without it.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts;
• Operate leaderboards, bounties, and community telemetry features;
• Process and verify score submissions via OCR;
• Administer in-app subscriptions and entitlements;
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and Terms of Service violations;
• Improve App performance, reliability, and user experience;
• Communicate with you regarding your account, support requests, or material policy changes.

4. Third-Party Services

ENDSCREEN integrates with third-party service providers that process data on our behalf. These providers are contractually obligated to handle data only as instructed by Shred Level, LLC and in accordance with applicable law.

• Supabase — database infrastructure, authentication, and backend data storage.
• Google Cloud Vision API — optical character recognition (OCR) processing of arcade screen photographs.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) — secure storage of score verification images.
• RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play — processing and management of in-app subscriptions and purchase validation.
• IGDB (Internet Game Database) — retrieval of game metadata (titles, identifiers, and related reference information) to enrich in-app game listings and telemetry context.

Each third-party provider maintains its own privacy policy governing its handling of data. We encourage you to review those policies for additional detail on their practices.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With the third-party service providers listed above, solely to operate the App;
• When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Shred Level, LLC, our users, or the public;
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Score verification images stored on AWS S3 are retained for leaderboard integrity purposes unless deleted pursuant to a valid user request or account termination.

7. Data Deletion & Your Rights

You may request full account and data deletion at any time by contacting us at admin [at] shredlvl [dot] com. Upon verification of your identity, we will delete or anonymize your account data, including associated score records and stored verification images, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business need (e.g., ongoing fraud investigations).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to access, correct, or port certain personal data. Submit all such requests to the contact address above.

8. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission where supported and access controls on cloud storage infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

ENDSCREEN is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. 10. International Users

Shred Level, LLC is based in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
